1979 <\/h2>\n

Locauto was born in Milan: the historic elephant icon was designed by one of the founding partners during a dinner at Pizzeria Transatlantico. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

1980 <\/h2>\n

Locauto, as part of its core business of car leasing and financing, registers its first car: a Talbot Samba. The company's first location is at 26 Via Pisacane, Milan. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

1984 <\/h2>\n

Locauto is among the first Italian companies to offer long-term rental service to corporate customers. The company's new headquarters is at 45 Via San Vittore, Milan. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

1987 <\/h2>\n

Through a network of local entrepreneurs, Locauto establishes "Locautines," satellite companies that bring long-term rental to Italy's major realities. The company crosses the 10,000-customer milestone. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

1993 <\/h2>\n

Locauto is permanently abandoning leasing to focus on long-term rental, a booming market. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

1999 <\/h2>\n

Locauto celebrates its 20th year in business: the birthday is celebrated with the group's first general convention in Paris. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2004 <\/h2>\n

Locauto enters the short-term rental business and subsequently coined the Locauto Rent brand. At the end of the year there are 6 rental offices: Catania, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Pisa, Rome Termini and Venice. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2011 <\/h2>\n

After only 8 years, Locauto Rent completes coverage of major Italian airports. Short-term rental turnover is growing dramatically. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2013 <\/h2>\n

Locauto Rent becomes the Italian partner of the world's leading multinational rental company Enterprise Mobility, with a long-term agreement. At the end of the year, the company moves to its Milan headquarters at 39 Via Gustavo Fara. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2015 <\/h2>\n

After Enterprise Rent-a-Car, brand portfolio expands with international brands National and Alamo. Rental offices are being expanded with a new look. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2016 <\/h2>\n

on Elefast, Locauto is among the first companies in the world to launch digital smart rental. The company is Official Rent-a-Car of Inter and Roma. A new sales office is opened in the capital. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2018 <\/h2>\n

After completing the airport and rail network, Locauto develops downtown offices and launches the van rental business, Locauto Van. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2020 <\/h2>\n

Locauto launches Smart Check-In, a service that allows customers to independently manage the booking and preparation of the rental agreement and pick up the vehicle directly at the parking lot. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2023 <\/h2>\n

Birth of MyLocauto Friends, the loyalty program that evolves (increasing discounts and benefits) along with each customer's rental habits that takes into account each customer's history from the day they enroll in the program. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

2024 <\/h2>\n

Round figure: Locauto in 45th anniversary year opens 100th rental office. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
