In the face of this complex, multifaceted, and rapidly changing<\/strong> scenario, the question that a professional, SME, or large company<\/strong> must ask is no longer just \u2013 as it was a few years ago \u2013 which car model to choose<\/strong> for their needs or those of their employees and collaborators, but more importantly, which powertrain<\/strong> to opt for.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Paradoxically, these changes are shifting decision-making away from brand loyalty<\/strong>, prioritizing other variables such as average consumption<\/strong>, charging autonomy<\/strong> (when considering electric and plug-in vehicles<\/strong>), residual value retention<\/strong> (i.e., the estimated value of the vehicle at the end of the leasing period), standard per-kilometer costs<\/strong>, routine maintenance expenses<\/strong>, and other critical factors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Today, a Procurement Manager<\/strong> or Fleet Manager<\/strong> must gather and cross-reference far more data than before to define the boundaries of their corporate car policy <\/strong>and often realizes that even this information is not enough. This is especially true when managing traveling personnel<\/strong> who cover many kilometers per year: while new powertrains offer greater environmental sustainability<\/strong> \nand lower tax impact<\/strong>, their durability over high mileage<\/strong> remains uncertain. This is why many still rely on the good old diesel<\/strong>. The savings achieved through tax incentives and reduced environmental impact can end up being offset by inefficiencies<\/strong>: increased maintenance needs<\/strong>, accelerated wear and tear<\/strong>, higher frequency of extraordinary repairs<\/strong>, and higher costs for managing replacement vehicles<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Value of a Tailor-Made Service<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Returning to the title of this article: yes, it makes more and more sense to talk about a tailor-made service<\/strong> when discussing long-term vehicle rental<\/strong>. In fact, we should almost eliminate the term \u201csupply\u201d<\/strong> because it downplays the value of the service, reducing it to a mere \u201ccommodity\u201d<\/strong>, which couldn’t be further from the truth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
