Why visit Rimini

Founded during the Roman era, it still preserves landmarks such as the Arch of Augustus, the Tiberius Bridge, and the Roman Amphitheatre.

Getting around Rimini: ZTLs and where to park
Rimini’s historic center is subject to Limited Traffic Zones (ZTLs), which are active at different times depending on the area and season. Generally, Rimini’s ZTLs are in effect mainly during the summer months and on weekends to promote pedestrian and bicycle traffic. It is essential to check the official Rimini Municipality website in advance, which is regularly updated with all the necessary information.
As for parking, Rimini offers various options, both paid and free. Some of the most convenient parking lots for visiting the center include:
- Tiberio Parking (just steps from the Tiberius Bridge);
- Piazza Malatesta Parking, near Castel Sismondo;
- Largo Gramsci Parking, ideal for accessing the center on foot.
During the summer, many beachside areas become paid parking zones, marked by blue lines and hourly rates, especially along the seafront. Alternatively, you can find free parking a bit further from the center for example, near the Palacongressi or in residential areas that are well served by buses.
In the summer months, there is also a shuttle and tourist train service that connects the peripheral parking areas to the city center and the beach perfect for those who want to leave their car and enjoy the city in a more sustainable way.
