Durante il noleggio

What's Included in Your Rental

When you rent a vehicle with Locauto, you can choose to add various protection services for greater peace of mind during your journey.

If you have purchased the Glass&Wheels service, you won’t be held responsible for damage to windows (including the glass roof), headlights, indicators, wheels, tires, and rims. The Body Protection service covers any damage to the vehicle’s exterior bodywork. With Super Theft Protection, you will have no liability in case of total or partial theft or damages caused by an attempted theft.

Opting for the Smart Cover package eliminates any financial liability for damages covered by Body Protection, Super Theft Protection, and Glass&Wheels. The Don’t Worry or Deluxe plans offer even more comprehensive coverage, ensuring no responsibility for any damages. However, in the event of theft or attempted theft in the Campania and Puglia regions, a specific amount remains payable, as stated in the Special Rental Terms.

If you have added the Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), you are covered by insurance that protects you in case of an accident while driving. In the event of injury or death, compensation of up to €100,000 is provided. Additionally, with the RSP (Extended Roadside Assistance) service, towing is free in case of breakdown or accident. Assistance is available 24/7 and can be reached at +39 0243020450, both from Italy and abroad.

Protection for Commercial Vehicles
If you have rented a commercial vehicle, you can activate SecurVan, which reduces your financial liability for damages and eliminates responsibility in case of theft or attempted theft. With SecurLoad, you won’t have to cover costs for damage to the cargo area panels. For complete protection, the SuperSecurVan service removes all financial liability.

As with standard vehicles, for theft or attempted theft in Campania and Puglia, a specific amount remains payable, as detailed in the Special Rental Terms.

Changing the Return Date and Time

If you need to return your vehicle later than the date and time specified in your contract, you must contact the pick-up branch directly. Keep in mind that rental rates are calculated on a daily basis, so any delays will result in an extra day’s charge.

For daily, weekly, and monthly rentals, a 59-minute grace period is allowed from the scheduled return time. If you have purchased the Stress-Free Return (Extended Grace Period) service, you will have an additional 2 hours of flexibility before an extra day’s charge applies.

For hourly rentals, the maximum grace period is 10 minutes. Exceeding this limit will automatically result in the application of the daily rate.

Changing the Return Location

If you need to return your vehicle to a different branch than the one specified in your contract, you must contact the pick-up office to request the change. Returning the vehicle to a different location will incur an additional fee, called a “One-Way Fee”, the exact amount of which is specified in the Special Rental Conditions.

In Case of Damage/Accident

If the vehicle is damaged, it is essential that you inform us immediately, providing details about the nature and extent of the damage. In the event of an accident with another party, you must report it by email to the pick-up office within 24 hours, including all the accident details, the license plate number of the involved vehicle, and the insurance company details of the other party.

Inside the vehicle, you will find a C.A.I. form in the glove compartment, which must be fully completed. We ask that you send us the completed form along with photographic documentation within 48 hours of the incident.

If authorities (e.g., Traffic Police, Local Police, Carabinieri, etc.) have been involved, please provide us with a copy of the official report related to the accident.

Roadside assistance is always available both in Italy and abroad by calling +39 0243020450. If you did not include RSP (Extended Roadside Assistance) at the time of rental, towing costs will be at your expense.

AdBlue Warning Light On

If the AdBlue warning light comes on, you can refill it at any service station, but be sure to inform the pick-up office. Keep the receipt or invoice addressed to Locauto Rent, showing the item "AdBlue," so you can request reimbursement when returning the vehicle.

Flat Tire

If you experience a flat tire during your rental, immediately contact Roadside Assistance at +39 0243020450 for support. We also recommend informing the vehicle pick-up location for a faster and more efficient resolution of the situation.

Warning Lights

If any warning lights appear, immediately contact the office where you picked up the vehicle. They will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.

Vehicle Cleaning

We ask that you return the rental vehicle in a clean condition. If the vehicle is excessively dirty, both inside and outside, a special cleaning may be required. In this case, a penalty fee will be applied, as specified in the Rental Terms and Conditions.

Recommendations

To ensure the safety of your vehicle and personal belongings, it’s important to avoid leaving visible items inside the vehicle. Always remove any personal belongings or valuables before parking. Additionally, try to park in secure areas, such as monitored parking lots or well-lit, busy areas, where the vehicle is better protected and in a visible position to reduce the risk of theft.
