Upon exiting the Arrivals Gate at Malpensa Terminal 2, just keep your left and follow the signs pointing to the railway station, where the car rental area is. The area is inside a building next to the Terminal 2 and can be reached in just a few steps. We are open Monday to Sunday from 7 AM to 12 AM.
At the entrance to Terminal 2, keep right for the ARRIVALS - CAR HIRE CAR RENTALS area and turn right for the car rental car park. The key box is in the car rental area, floor -1.
On the day designed for returning your car, take the Malpensa Terminal 2 exit on the highway and reach the car rental parking area following the signs outside the airport. Out-of-opening-hours drop-off is available for all customers.
The blinding lights of the city attract you far less than the voices of the forest but you still want shops & night life to be close at hand when you need to jump back into modern life and buy some presents for the family and friends back at home? Then maybe, when choosing your destination for your next trip to Italy, you should keep in mind the area north of Milan. Leaving the city just a few kilometres behind, you will enjoy awe-inspiring mountains and marvellous lakes: right behind the shoulders of the most industrious city in northern Italy, the capital of fashion and night life, you will make peace with the entire world by turning your nose a glowing red on the challenging ski and hiking trails of Valchiavenna and then enjoy your blood flow turning again to normal by plunging your feet into the cuddling warm waters of natural hot springs. You will also relish the rich cuisine of this region, which will certainly pay you back for all your efforts: cheese, polenta, bresaola and all the other mouthwateringly delicious typical Lombard dishes which will give you the strength to face city life again and get to know Milan better!
Following your schedule of natural explorations and sight-seeing will be very simple by relying on a rental car. Obviously the best thing for you would be to be able of using the car ever since the moment zero of your holiday, without travelling all the way through the city and thus make an enormous waste of your precious time. That is where Locauto comes in handy: in fact, we have an extensive network of car rental offices which will suit all your travels plans perfectly, including two rental offices right inside Milan Malpensa airport. Also, some of our vehicles are eligible for smart booking too: this means that to complete your booking, pick up your car and return it to us you won’t have to drop by our offices but just download our Locauto Elefast App on your phone. You will thus cut on time and be ready to leave towards the mountains or anywhere else as soon as you retrieve your luggage!
When landing in Malpensa, you will find yourselves very close to the main highways of northern Lombardy, which will lead you to all the other main cities of the region, plus Piedmont and southern Switzerland, in very little time. Depending on the company you’re flying with, you will land either at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2; Milan Malpensa airport is huge, but don’t worry because we have rental offices at either side of the airport facilities. Also, we have other offices in Milan where you can choose to return you car if that suits your travel plans better (for instance, upon booking your car online you may opt to return your vehicle to our offices near Milan Central Station and then take an express train to another Italian city). Once you reach us at our offices, don’t hesitate to submit us any enquiry you may have about driving in Italy and in Milan: please note that to rent one of our cars you must show us a valid driving permit and be at least 18 years of age. If you’re heading towards Milan city centre, please also note that there is a restricted area in the old town centre that you won’t be able to enter unless you pay for a daily, weekly or monthly pass.
