The eye finds wonder wherever it places itself, for even the floor is a work of art in itself, with its carved panels on marble the result of a work that lasted a good 600 years. Then inside the cathedral is the Piccolomini Library, frescoed by Pinturicchio and his pupils, including Raphael Sanzio. Also in Romanesque-Gothic style is the Baptistery, which houses a baptismal font inside, the work of some of the most brilliant minds of the Italian Renaissance.
