Who we are

Locauto is a 100 per cent Italian company, specialized in short, medium and long term rental services for cars and commercial vehicles. We are headquartered in Milan, we have commercial offices in Rome and rental locations throughout the country.

Since 1979 Locauto is a major point of reference in Italy for the mobility of companies and individuals. Since the beginning, the elephant is the Locauto identification logo, representing the solidity, the experience, the reliability and also the sympathy and familiarity that are part of our DNA.

Always projected to the future, Locauto has been among the first companies to offer innovative renting and automotive solutions. Also, we have been among the first Italian companies to launch long-term car rental as an alternative to leasing.

Since 2004 we operate in short term car rental with the Locauto Rent-a-Car brand. Here’s we had an outstanding growth: with more than 100 rental locations around, covering airports, railway stations and major city centers, we are today the largest 100% Italian car rental company.

Since 2013, we represented in Italy the multinational rental company Enterprise Mobility, operating the 3 brands Enterprise, National and Alamo.

Since 2016 we are the only car rental company to offer a digital self-service rental service, Elefast, which allows the customer to book and rent a car at the airport in total autonomy, through the App installed on his mobile device.

In 2018, Locauto launched the commercial vehicle rental line, Locauto Van, thus establishing itself as an authentic all-round provider of mobility services for individuals and companies.

In 2020 Locauto launches Smart Check-In, an advanced service that allows all types of customers to manage their reservation and rental quickly, digitally and securely, skipping the rental desk and collecting the vehicle booked directly at parking in seconds

In 2023, MyLocauto Friends was born, the multi-product and multi-channel loyalty programme, free and cross-selling, with progressive discounts and advantages based on the number of rentals made, which also takes into account the customer's history from the day of enrollment in the programme.
