At midnight on the day of redelivery, a request to release the deposit will be sent to the issuing bank. From that point, the time for full release will depend solely on the bank’s procedures, the issuing country, and the credit card protocol. In some cases, especially with foreign banks, the process may take several days, up to a maximum of 28. It is important to know that Locauto has no control over these timelines, which are set directly by the banking institution.
At the end of the rental, you will receive the invoice directly by email. If you are a MyLocauto user, you will also be able to download it by logging into your member area, in the “My Rentals” section of your profile.
In case of traffic violations, non-payment of tolls or parking, you will be required to pay the amount due directly. If payment is not made, a penalty will be charged as stated in the General and Special Rental Terms and Conditions available on the website. The penalty does not include the amount of the fine, which must be paid directly to the appropriate authority.
