Locauto resets the refueling service!

Milan, March 21, 2022. The Locauto Group, in line with what the government has established through the new Energy Decree (approved last March 18 and containing urgent measures to counter the economic and humanitarian effects of the Ukrainian crisis), has decided to zero out the charges related to the refueling service (so-called “Refuelling service”) for all its customers who, at the end of the rental of a car or van, should return the car without a full tank of fuel, as provided for in the general rental terms and conditions.

Just as it did in the midst of the pandemic, with the elimination of the security deposit for all customers from direct booking channels (website, app, booking center, rental desk), Locauto is stepping in with yet another measure that runs counter to the industry.

“This decision is an evolution of the Locauto for Italy initiative, launched in 2020,” says Raffaella Tavazza, vice president and CEO of Locauto, “to support the mobility of our customers; in a historical phase in which the rising cost of gasoline and diesel fuel has put the trucking and classic mobility sector in difficulty, we first wanted to give a signal of concrete proximity to those who, for business or pleasure, need to rent a vehicle with us.

This intervention, which stands concretely alongside the government’s measures on the matter, will be applied to all car and van rentals concluded by April 30 of this year, pending the evaluation of the evolution of the scenario in which the company does not rule out promoting new interventions in this regard.
